Senate Committee on Nominations | Board Director, Texas Space Commission

On March 31st, 2025, Texas Space Commission Board director John Shannon provided testimony before the Texas Senate Committee on Nominations. His testimony provided an overview of his experience and the work of the agency to date. He also answered questions for the committee on the aerospace footprint in Texas, the balance of private enterprise and government efforts in Texas, SEARF investment criteria, and the major commercial potential over the next 10 to 20 years.

About the Texas Senate Committee on Nominations
The Nominations Committee is a standing committee of the Texas State Senate. Per the Senate Rules, committees of the Texas State Senate are assigned by the President of the Senate. Committees are assigned at the start of each legislative session. A majority of appointed members make up a committee's quorum.
