The Texas Space Commission was established in 2023 by the 88th Texas Legislature to promote innovation in the field of space operations and commercial aerospace opportunities, including the integration of space, aeronautics, and aviation industries into the Texas economy.

Our Board
The Commission is governed by a nine-member board of directors, who also administer the legislatively created Space Exploration and Aeronautics Research Fund to provide grants for eligible entities.

Our Staff
The Texas Space Commission staff is comprised of 17 full time grant and program professionals supporting the day-to-day operations.
