Texas Space Commission Awards Grant to SylLab Systems, Inc.
Austin, TX – The Texas Space Commission (TSC) announced a Space Exploration & Aeronautics Research Fund (SEARF) grant of up to $250,000 has been awarded to SylLab Systems, Inc. for development of secure satellite update (SSU) capabilities.
This project would further develop and validate a quantum-resistant, zero-trust system. This investment will provide scalable solutions across distributed constellations, reducing manual labor by 50%, and ensuring compliance with post-quantum cryptography standards.
This grant award will strengthen Texas’ role in advancing secure space system architectures and support continued innovation in satellite cybersecurity and mission resilience.
TSC funding will reimburse eligible expenditures for research and development, as well as other direct costs associated with this project. This grant agreement termination date is May 31, 2027.
