Why NOT New York? Part 2 | Live New York Space Business Roundtable
09/18/24
About the panel
New York State has without fanfare (or being entirely aware) funded, conceptualized and developed a growing commercial Space industry. What differentiates the Empire State from other “Space economy” nations and states is the lack of recognition it receives, as well as coordinated policies to continue to build the industry into a genuine powerhouse for economic growth, business attraction and social development. The talent and ingredients are here as well as companies from Buffalo to Brooklyn working the sector.
Speakers included:
- Lou Zacharilla, Director of Innovation, Space & Satellite Professionals International (moderator)
- Nick Reese, CEO & Founder, Frontier Foundry, former DHS
- Luc Decker, Consul General, Luxembourg Trade & Investment Office NY
- Norman R. Garza, Jr., Executive Director, Texas Space Commission
