Texas Space Commission Awards Grant to Borderplex Bi-National Economic Alliance Foundation
Austin, TX – The Texas Space Commission (TSC) announced a Space Exploration & Aeronautics Research Fund (SEARF) grant of up to $19,758,376 has been awarded to Borderplex Bi-National Economic Alliance Foundation for establishing the El Paso Space Innovation Hub.
This project would support capital improvements for a property lease to accommodate U.S. Space Force (USSF) Space System Command (SSC) personnel.
This grant award will support design and construction of a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) for use by various government agencies as well as private sector and academic partners.
TSC will fund eligible expenditures for construction, equipment, research and development, as well as other direct costs associated with this project. This grant agreement termination date is January 31, 2029.
